• No accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies. Your region, layout, saved alerts and filters are stored only in your browser (localStorage).
• Push alerts (optional). If you turn on alerts, we store your browser’s push address, language, quiet hours and timezone offset so we can send breaking-news alerts. No name, email or IP is stored with it. Turn alerts off at any time with the Alerts button or your browser settings, and the push address is deleted.
• Email list (optional). See “The optional email list” below.
• Embedded widgets. TradingView charts and the calendar load only when you tap them; TradingView’s own privacy policy then applies.
• Server logs. Our host keeps standard web server logs for security.

The optional email list

You can join our email list on some pages. It is optional. Reading the site never needs it. You must tick the consent box yourself. It is never ticked for you.

What we collect: your email address; optionally your first name, last name and the interests you pick; which of our sites and pages you signed up on; and a record of the exact consent wording you agreed to and when. We do not ask for your country. Mailchimp also records when and from which IP address you signed up, so there is proof of your consent. It records whether an email was delivered or bounced. We have turned off open and click tracking. News updates by email and the weekly digest are separate, optional choices with their own boxes; we send them only if you ticked that box, and you can stop either one any time without leaving the newsletter.

Who handles it: Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.) is our processor: it stores the list and sends the emails for us, only on our instructions, under its data processing terms. Its servers may be in the United States. Intuit Inc. (including The Rocket Science Group, d/b/a Mailchimp) is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Your choice: every email has an unsubscribe link and our business postal address. We honor unsubscribe requests. To delete, email joshuabaskin@baskinlogiccrypto.com with the subject “Delete my email”. We will delete your email and name from our list and confirm.

We never sell or rent your email, and we do not use it for anyone else’s advertising. We do not send text messages, make calls or use WhatsApp.

How long we keep it

We keep all user data for 12 months at most, counted from the date you signed up (or, if you never signed up, from when we collected it). At 12 months it is deleted or anonymized, or sooner if you ask us, unless we must keep it longer for a legal claim, complaint or legal requirement.

• Email sign-ups: 12 months at most from the date you signed up.
• Do-not-email list: if you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your email, we keep a do-not-email entry with no time limit. It holds only a salted SHA-256 hash of your email address (which cannot be turned back into your address) and the date you opted out, so we never email you again.
• Consent, withdrawal and deletion-request records: kept for 12 months after your consent is withdrawn or ends, or longer if the law requires.
• Push alert addresses: 12 months at most, and deleted sooner when you turn alerts off.

Questions, complaints and India

Grievance contact: joshuabaskin@baskinlogiccrypto.com. If you sign up from India, you can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it; ask for a summary of your data, and ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it; name another person to use these rights for you if you die or cannot act; and raise a complaint with us first at the address above, and then with the Data Protection Board of India if we do not fix it.
