Weekly market notes · 2026-W45
Compiled from 3 AM/PM briefs, 2026-11-02 to 2026-11-03. Every number below comes from data this site already collected (CoinGecko, Alternative.me, OKX, DefiLlama and verified headlines). Education only. Not investment advice. We do not pick coins and we make no predictions.
What the numbers did
- Bitcoin went from $78,277.00 in the first brief to $76,707.00 in the last one, a change of -2.01%.
- Ether went from $2,273.66 to $2,249.83, a change of -1.05%.
- The Fear & Greed index ranged from 26 to 37 and ended at 26 (Fear).
- Bitcoin dominance in the last brief: 59.2%.
What it means for a beginner
- A weekly change is a snapshot between two moments, not a trend. Prices can move this much in a single day.
- Fear & Greed describes mood. A low reading means traders were cautious; it has no record of predicting what comes next.
- Dominance is Bitcoin's share of total crypto market value. It rises when Bitcoin holds up better than other coins.
- If a move makes you want to act fast, that is the moment to slow down. Read how to spot a crypto scam first.

New to crypto? What these numbers mean
- Fear & Greed: a 0 to 100 mood index built from price swings, volume and social data. Low means fearful, high means greedy. It describes mood; it does not predict prices.
- Liquidations: leveraged bets an exchange closed automatically because the trader ran out of margin. Large numbers show how risky borrowed money is.
- Long/short ratio: how many accounts on one exchange bet on the price going up versus down. A snapshot, not a forecast.
- Stablecoin supply: the total value of coins pegged to a currency such as the US dollar.
- DeFi TVL: total value locked, the money deposited in decentralized finance apps.
- 500+ BTC transactions: very large transfers, often an exchange moving its own funds.
